First Security Bank is planning to expand its presence in Fort Smith.
The Searcy-headquartered bank will be establishing a second bank in Fort Smith at 7513 Rogers Avenue. In October 2018, First Security Bank opened its first bank in Fort Smith at 720 Garrison Ave., above the Rialto Restaurant.
“When First Security entered the Fort Smith market, we were welcomed with open arms, and our team has thoroughly enjoyed serving customers and being actively involved in the community. This new branch just further reflects our commitment,” market president Zach Ledford said in a statement. “We look forward to serving even more customers and having a greater impact on our community as the bank continues to grow.”
The new Fort Smith bank is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2021.
Currently, First Security operates 77 community banking centers and approximately 100 ATMs in Arkansas. The bank has roughly $1.18 billion in capital and $5.4 billion in total assets.
