Clark Contractors Announces New CFO, Additional Hires

Clark Contractors recently hired three new employees: Chris Shepard, Travis Henry and Daniel Hunt. Shepard was hired in March 2022 as Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, Shepard will manage Clark Contractors’ financial actions, including financial reporting and analysis, strategic planning and risk management.

Before joining Clark Contractors, Shepard was the director of operations at The Alotian Golf Club. He also worked at Hudson, Cisne & Co. (now HCJ CPAs & Advisors) for several years. Shepard has 12 years of experience in the financial industry, including roles as an accountant, controller and director of human resources. He has Bachelor of Accounting from Ouachita Baptist University and is a licensed certified public accountant.

Travis Henry was hired at the end of Feb. 2022 as the Safety Director for Clark Contractors. As Safety Director, Henry will be working to develop and promote a safety culture that will keep pace with Clark Contractors’ operations, including team member training, policy enforcement and program revision as the company continues to expand. Henry spent the last six years as the supervisory industrial hygienist for Red River Army Depot in Texarkana, Texas. Before that, he was a manufactured food inspector for the Arkansas Department of Health and a Medical Technologist for the Arkansas Department of Human Services. He also worked for several years as a HAZMAT Emergency Responder for the Center for Toxicology and Emergency Response. Henry has 15 years of experience in the Occupational Health and Safety Field, is a registered sanitarian with the state of Arkansas, and has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Biology from the University of Central Arkansas.

Daniel Hunt was hired at the end of Jan. 2022 as Senior Project Manager at Clark Contractors’ Rogers  office. As Senior Project Manager, Hunt will be responsible for project budgeting, cost control, bid packaging, Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) preparation, contracting with subcontractors and material suppliers, and contract administration. Hunt will also aid Clark’s Northwest Arkansas team in identifying business opportunities and cultivating relationships with clients in the region. Prior to joining Clark, Hunt worked for CDI Contractors. He has 17 years of experience in the construction industry and a bachelor of science in construction management from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. In addition, Hunt is a certified LEED Green Associate by the U.S. Green Building Council, a certified Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) from the Construction Specifications Institute and a Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) by the American Hospital Association.
