A new upscale liquor store is coming to Fort Smith’s the HUB at Providence, located at Chaffee Crossing.
Kristi and Clint Kindrick are introducing Barrels & Brews Bottle Shop to the HUB at Providence, and the new store is expected to open in May 2021. Barrels & Brews will feature a range of beverages, along with offering expertise in different spirits.
“We’ve been known to plan a trip around dining experiences and Clint and I are always on the lookout for something new,” Kristi Kindrick said in a statement. “One thing we’ve discovered is how a great drink complements a great meal.”
Kindrick said that she hopes Barrel & Brews develops a reputation – both in its brick-and-mortar and online operations – as a spot for friendly expertise.
“Clint’s passion is bourbon and Scotch and I think that will likely become a focus over time,” she said. “But the nice thing about the two of us is that it’s a good balance. I can appreciate a good whiskey, but Ialso understand what women like in a nice cocktail, too. I want to develop an online presence for mixed cocktails where we introduce a nice liqueur, for instance, and how you can use that in some different drinks. I think that’s another thing Barrels & Brews will become known for.”
The HUB at Providence is an $11 million mixed-use development in Fort Smith that features both residential and retail spaces.
