Colliers International has confirmed that Dickson Flake died Tuesday, June 30 at the age of 81.
“Dickson was an Arkansas business legend, a service-oriented leader who gave his time to family, our firm and our community,” Kevin Huchingson, chairman and CEO of Colliers Arkansas said in a statement. “Dickson hired me out of graduate school in 1993 and has been my mentor and close friend ever since. He taught many of us the principles of real estate, and established the foundation and core values of our firm. It will be hard to find a man with more integrity or character.”
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Blaine Flake.
Arrangements are expected to be announced at a later time.

Little Rock commercial real estate legend Dickson Flake has died at age 81, a source confirmed Tuesday night.
In 1971, Flake co-founded Barnes, Quinn, Flake & Anderson, the predecessor firm to the Arkansas office of Colliers International, now the largest commercial real estate firm in the state. Flake was a managing partner and shareholder there until 2002. He developed more than 2 million square feet of real estate for corporate and institutional clients, including housing, office, retail and industrial space, according to his Colliers bio.
A 2011 Arkansas Business Hall of Fame inductee, Flake was a driving force in the development of the Little Rock Technology Park. His projects include the J.B. Hunt Transport Services headquarters in Lowell, the former Systematics headquarters in west Little Rock, Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield in downtown Little Rock and the downtown offices for the Arkansas Department of Human Services.
