Yellow Rocket Concepts (YRC) is well-known for its eclectic collection of restaurants, from Big Orange to Local Lime to ZAZA Fine Salad & Wood-Oven Pizza Co.
Now, the Little Rock-based restaurant group is opening a new restaurant in Northwest Arkansas. YRC has announced plans to open Bentonville Taco & Tamale Co. (BTT), a spin-off of its well-known Heights Taco & Tamale Co. restaurant.
Bentonville Taco & Tamale Co. will feature an Ark-Mex menu designed by McGehee. The menu is expected to include fan favorites, classic HTT menu items, a seasonal cocktail program, as well as expanded salad and starter dishes, house-made desserts, and local ingredients.
The new restaurant will be located on the Bentonville Square at 101 W. Central Ave, occupying a 5,600 square foot space with general dining areas, private dining and a full bar. The space will seat 145 guests in total.
Bentonville Taco & Tamale Co. is projected to open in fall 2020.
This restaurant marks the 10threstaurant location for Yellow Rocket Concepts.
Currently, Big Orange is the biggest part of the Yellow Rocket Concepts portfolio. Big Orange has three locations – two in Little Rock and one in Rogers. There are two ZAZA’s locations – one in Little Rock and one in Conway – as well as two Local Lime locations in Little Rock and Rogers. Lost Forty Brewing and Heights Taco & Tamale Co. are both single locations.
Yellow Rocket Concepts got its start in the late 2000s after McGehee sold his interest in Boulevard Bread Company. He launched ZAZA’s in Little Rock’s Heights neighbordhood with partner John Beachboard in 2007. He continued expanded, adding a second ZAZA’s in 2010, and creating Big Orange, Local Lime, Lost Forty, and Heights Taco and Tamale.
McGehee’s other restaurant group partners include Ben Brainard, Russ McDonough, and Albert Braunfisch.
