The company’s Board of Directors say Gosser, who’s been promoted from president of the Central Arkansas Division, has been part of the Baldwin & Shell succession plan for several years. The company is celebrating their 75th year in business and moving toward the century mark.
“I’ve felt for a long time that Bobby’s career path within the company has been pointing to this destination,” said Patrick Tenney, executive board member and company treasurer. “It’s the right time, and his character, leadership skills, and experience will serve the next generation of our company very well.”
Gosser earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business from Ouachita Baptist University in 1983 and his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Northeast Louisiana University at Monroe in 1985. He has been awarded Estimator of the Year by the Arkansas Chapter of American Society of Professional Estimators; Recruiter of the Year by the National Organization, ASPE; Chairman of the Year by Arkansas Chapter of Associated General Contractors; Certification in Healthcare Construction from American Society of Healthcare Engineers; Commercial Environmental Certification with Green Advantage; and Certification of Certified Professional Estimator.
Gosser has worked in various capacities within
Baldwin & Shell for over 35 years, serving previously as Estimator, Project Coordinator, Project Manager, Division Manager, Vice President, Division President and President-Elect. Under Gosser’s leadership as president of the Central Arkansas Division, the division became the in the company, attributing to the record growth in 2018 to over $300 million, according to company officials.
When asked about his new leadership role, Gosser said, “I am prepared and excited to work alongside the company’s board of directors while continuing to provide top-quality, cost-effective construction projects for current and future customers.”
